When are you writing your own book?

As part of the Amsterdam Leadership Programme (MBA course at Amsterdam Business School), I show the MBA students some of the books that have inspired me, for various reasons. And in the last few years, I got asked more and more the question when would I write my own book..

It required a lot of perseverance, and dealing with some of my own inner critics (Who am I to write a book? What could I add to the wide range of books that exist already?). Over the last 12 months, with support from a professional company (WriteBusinessResults) and coaching by several close friends, I’ve finally overcome my inner critics. My book, YourLeadershipToolkit, is now available on Amazon.

One of the topics covered in the book are saboteurs. What might be some of your saboteurs, your inner critics? How did they serve you in the past? And in what way might they be standing in your path now and going forward?

“Our biggest enemy is our own self-doubt. We really can achieve extraordinary things in our lives. But we sabotage our greatness because of our fear.” – Robin Sharma
