Who is Joris Nuijten?

Joris Nuijten is an accomplished leadership coach with over 25 years of experience helping leaders and teams worldwide.

Joris works in Executive Leadership Development as corporate trainer, facilitator, executive coach and leadership consultant for multinationals, start-ups, scale-ups, NGOs and Business Schools. He has more than 25 years’ experience working in the corporate sector in international roles in engineering, economics, business planning, continuous improvement, strategy, and executive leadership development.

He teaches leadership at the Amsterdam Business School (part of University of Amsterdam), where he is responsible for the Amsterdam Leadership Programme for various MBA curricula (including MBA AI and MBA Healthcare) and for the Leadership programme in the Executive Masters Finance & Control study (for which he received the Teacher of the Year award in 2022).

He combines his coaching experience and his corporate background to engage with senior business executives, enabling growth in a compassionate and respectful yet results-oriented manner. His coaching approach is underpinned by a combination of systemic and group dynamics, infused with a belief that it is possible to enable people to get more out of themselves and others than they thought was possible.

Joris holds Masters of Science degrees in Applied Physics (Technical University Eindhoven) and Geophysics (École Nationale Supérieure, Rueil-Malmaison, France), and an Executive MBA (Rotterdam School of Management, graduated with Dean’s Honours).

He is an accredited coach with the ICF (International Coaching Federation) and CTI (Co-Active Coaching Training Institute, PCC Level), and holds accreditations in Organisational Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC), Facet5, Kantor Structural Dynamics, Blanchard Team Leadership, Co-Active Coaching, Team Diagnostic Survey (Ruth Wageman, Harvard), Hogan Personality Diagnostic and Belbin Team roles.
